Anyone can be a hero! Even you and I! Isn’t that terrific news? The thing is, you already are a hero. You’re the hero of your own story! Think about it. You’re the main character and your life is based solely on you. You’re going on a long adventure, which we call “life”. You will face some challenges but you will fight to get through them. You will meet other characters along the way and you’ll be a character in other people’s stories. There will be mistakes done and lessons learned. You will grow.

Have you ever read a book where the main character got everything she wanted and never had to struggle? Probably not. Most people wouldn’t even want to read a book like that. It would be incredibly dull. All good books have conflicts and strong characters that must face them. When we read books or watch movies, we are deeply inspired by the characters’ struggles and see them as strong and heroic even when things don’t work in their favor. And yet, when we think about our own traumas, we fail to see ourselves as inspiring or brave. This is often because we are too close to our own suffering to view it with the objective compassion we would give to another person. Instead, we often spend our time wishing our problems had never happened instead of seeing ourselves as the heroes and overcomers we are. When we do this. we lose the big picture, as well as the “story.”

If you could read your whole life story, chapter by chapter, you would see how the most difficult and painful moments have led to an increase in personal strength and growth or perhaps even pointed you in the right direction. No doubt, you would be inspired by your own strength.

You have to be the hero of your own story and save yourself from a life of mediocrity. This severe epidemic of mediocrity that has swept the globe will confine you to living a life of conformity if you do not step up and design the life of your dreams. You have to be the one who takes charge of your life and turns it into a masterpiece. You must get rid of the unnecessary daily activities in your life and only engage in success. Each day you are either moving towards the attainment of your goals or you are falling behind with your dreams.

There is a hero within you waiting to be let out into the world, each individual has a superhero that lay dormant, waiting to be awakened by the development of oneself by taking the journey within. Let this year be the one that you make the step up from a mediocre existence to one that is lived on a whole new level, the level of greatness. Let these words inspire within you the drive to be the person that you want to be, success is not about being someone else, take the best from other successful people and mold yourself into the person that you truly want to be. No one is coming to save you, you must save yourself. Be the hero who rises up from the clutches of conformity and fly towards a life of greatness filled with limitless abundance. The choices you make on a daily basis will determine your destiny. Rich or poor, average or greatness, the choice is ultimately yours. Let your choices be a reflection of your dreams.

Everybody is the hero in their own story. You should be the hero of your own story. You should be. You should see yourself conquering the dramatic action of whatever you’re trying to do, so when you get to a crisis, you know how to deal with it. You should be able to do that. And there are people that come in and help you with your story, but you have to be the person who deals with the conflicts that are in place. There’s no deus ex machina that’s gonna come in and save it for you. Even if you pray to God, God expects you to do some things.

I can imitate this hero in many ways because I am this hero. I am my own hero because I was there when I needed to get myself up. Also, because when people weren’t there for me, I used myself as an inspiration to get back up. Now, I want to be my sister’s hero because I want to show her that, even though people aren’t always there for you, you can do it no matter what people tell you.
