Creating time each day for prayer, meditation, or mindfulness helps us connect with a higher power. Connecting with a higher power helps us have hope, especially in tough times.

As we move on to different phase in life, life throws new things at us. We struggle each day and sometimes feel it’s over and we can’t seem to move on. We cry and shout and no one seems to hear us cry or scream. In all these situations - either good or bad, we need to look at prayer with deeper thoughts. Prayer isn’t just closing your eyes, folding your hands and speaking. It shouldn’t just be looked at as a routine or habit, but more as a love poem to express one’s love for God. It should be something that comes straight from our heart and shouldn’t be a job or a planned out speech.

We need to pray for different things in life. It brings a sense of peace, relieves stress and focuses the mind. Of course, some people don't believe prayer is Paramount. People believe that prayer is a waste of time and useless to the situation they are in. However, it can help us achieve our goals, dreams and other tasks that we may want to accomplish in life.

While society is constantly changing, we need prayer to survive and remain productive. As stated before, we need to have constant communication with God. We need to be thankful for what we have and what we are yet to receive. Life is too short to wonder about the "what ifs". You can't also keep praying and fold your arms too, you need to take actions! Prayer without effort is fruitless. They work in unison.

If the only prayer you ever say in your entire life is thank you - it's enough.
