Day 60 (Sixty) of 365 days
When did we celebrate the new year? Seems it was yesterday, time flies! Regardless of the circumstances in the last months, restate your goals and your decisions for your new, happy and successful life. At the same time, be open to new ideas and opportunities, and for ways to achieve your goals.
Often, we make new year resolutions, but either does nothing to carry them out or start and then quit. This creates feelings of frustration, unhappiness and failure. The good news, however, is that we don’t have just one opportunity to carry out a decision or achieve a goal. If you fail to carry them out in the last month, you don’t need to wait for the beginning of the next year. You can make a new resolution every day, and you can start again every day, if you failed in your first, second or even third attempt.
A new day, a new month, a new year, a new job, a new life, a new relationship, a new start - they all come to us without permission, in the best and worst way. They barge in our front doors with the beautiful promise of second chances and new potential and unexpected opportunity. And they also come with heartbreaks, because new beginnings nearly always follow endings.
I hope this brings great comfort to you, especially if you are feeling less than thrilled at the outset of this new month. You're normal. It's okay. If amidst the poppers and the streamers and the confetti and the champagne, you're feeling less than sure of yourself and about what comes next, you're not alone.
Because the new month came without your permission, and it will come again next month, regardless of what you do or don't do. One of the very few things we can count on in this life is changing seasons.
