Day 69 (Sixty-nine) of 365 days
Everyone in life experiences a tragic event that brings a state of hopelessness. Be it large or small, these occurrences change us mentally or physically and shapes us into the people we are today. These events are turning points that cause individuals to be better, or worse.
In the end, these points in life make us learn more about ourselves and our lives, and force us to never take anything we have for granted. There have been a lot of these points in my life but most of them have made me a better person to this day.
Have you ever thought about someone, appear like the result of a waved wand, make an unexpected turning point, and change your life forever as a dream come true? You will be so lucky if you have that chance.
Unfortunately, I have to tell you I’m lucky too but it is because I never have that chance. My turning point did not suddenly appear. I’m proud to tell, that it came from efforts, devotions, and time spent. My turning point is not a sharp peak graph of life but a smooth beautiful curve that adjusts my life to achieving my goals. That is my love for reading.
At my younger age, my parents encouraged me to read. My mum loves reading and I enjoyed listening the summary of whatever she read. I began to cultivate the habit of reading and this resulted in me being able to read better and faster than my peers. Books give me not only knowledge but also useful derived skills such as — Being able to focus or concentrate for a long period and survive in my academic life.
Reading gives me endless imagination and happiness which nowhere else can have. It makes me have a lot of friends and makes me know I’m never alone because I love to share my experience through reading with friends. We tell and listen, query and answer, and that makes us closer.
Reading lets me know who I really am, serves as a source of information and inspiration for my future. Everything will finish slower and harder without reading, it is the root of my soundness. In my soul, readers are leaders, I think my soul is right.
