Having a specific goal in life requires one to be committed, dedicated and motivated. However, in some cases, commitment and dedication are present, but the motivation and support are lacking. This is very common in our society.

When you're a child, adults are always asking you what you want to be when you grow up. Along with "what's your favourite subject at school?" And "Haven't you grown!" It is pretty much the standard question at any family gathering.

As we get older, however, people gradually stop asking us what we want to do, and by the time we have grown up no one ever asks at all. No matter what you have already achieved and regardless of what stage you are in life, having the ambition to achieve more can be a wonderful, life-affirming force.

In our society today, teens and young adults are expected to enter the real world after completing school and choose a field that best suits their needs and future goals. This decision can be extremely difficult. If you try and tackle it yourself, but luckily there are people out there who are willing to help point in the right direction.

Our parents, Guardians, Teachers, Counsellors, advisers, family and friends are all great resources when seeking support for future ambitions and goals you may have. Parents should come to mind first because they tend to generally want the best for their children. In most cases, they have been there for you through it all and would do anything in their power to help you succeed in achieving your goals.

There are so many people out there who are willing to help, but after taking the advice and recommendations of others, you're the one who has to go out there and get what you're looking for. No one is going to hand you anything in life, and it takes a great deal of hard work, dedication and self-motivation to get that mindset and follow through.
