We are all slaves of our emotions. Both positive and negative emotions govern our minds. Positive emotions are those that bring happiness to us as well as to all those around us.

Anger is the worst enemy of man in the sense that it destroys peace and happiness it is a strong emotion in man. When we get angry, our cool reason, sense, prudence, and wisdom refuse to work. We tend to lose our balance and can do and undo anything.

Many harms can be done by anger. It can cause enmity between lovers. It also creates issues in the deep-rooted relationship between two friends. Those who tend to get angry, have a high risk of heart attack and stroke.

Do you also think that when you get angry, your control goes to another? More reason why we need to control our anger. There are two root causes for anger — Our Ego and Our Desire.

Therefore, it is important to learn how to manage anger in every situation and not let it gain control of our lives. So, how do we deal with anger? Not getting angry is the best situation, but as human beings that is not possible.

When becoming angry, some of the best ways to control it are; To identify stress as it is happening, develop empathy, respond instead of reacting, change the thought process you are having, communicate assertively, adjust your expectations, forgive and retreat to rethink the situation.

No matter what pushes your buttons, one thing is certain — you’re sure to get angry sometimes. Everyone does. Anger is a normal emotion, and there’s nothing wrong with feeling angry. What counts is how we handle it (and ourselves) when the feeling ignites.
